Richard Savoy, O.D.
Adult Primary Care
Dr. Richard S. Savoy sees patients in the Adult Primary Care Service in The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry. His clinical interests include geriatric vision and diabetes mellitus with a personal commitment to public health and community outreach. An Associate Professor at SCO, he teaches geometrical optics and moderates student doctor clinical seminars. A retired military officer, Dr. Savoy held various clinical and administrative positions while an active duty Navy optometrist. He continues to maintain a diverse roster of assignments at SCO including student academic affairs, student mentoring, and environmental management responsibilities.
Dr. Savoy is married with five children and enjoys camping and hiking, running, and soccer and is active in his church.
