Carrie Lebowitz, O.D.

Adult Primary Care

Carrie Lebowitz received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2006 from The Southern College of Optometry where she is currently serving as instructor. Following graduation from SCO, Dr. Lebowitz completed a residency in primary care at the Memphis VA Hospital and continues to serve our veterans as a contract physician. Her areas of emphasis currently lie in laboratory and clinical instruction.

Dr. Lebowitz is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians (TAOP), and the West Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society (WTOPS.)

Originally from Little Rock, AR, Dr. Lebowitz has remained a proud Memphian since graduating from Rhodes College in 1996 and lives in the midtown area. Before coming to SCO, Dr. Lebowitz was a third and second grade teacher with the Memphis City Schools. Her husband owns his own athletic facilities in midtown and on Mud Island and they enjoy being active in the Cooper Young and Mud Island communities. They have two young sons.
