Chawan Rasheed, O.D.
Adult Primary Care, Community Vision Health Services, Cornea and Contact Lens
Dr. Chawan Rasheed is a native Memphian and earned both her Bachelor of Science (Christian Brothers University) and Doctor of Optometry (Southern College of Optometry) degrees in Memphis, TN. She completed a one-year postgraduate residency in Cornea and Contact Lens/Refractive Surgery at SCO and Eye Specialty Group.
Her passion for academia encouraged Dr. Rasheed to remain at SCO after residency to join faculty, supervising student clinicians in the Adult Primary Care, Contact Lens, and Nursing Home/Assisted Living departments.
Her professional areas of interest include anterior segment disease and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Rasheed is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. Outside of optometry, she enjoys visiting Shelby Farms Park, exploring around Memphis, and trying new restaurants.
