David Maze, O.D.
Adult Primary Care, Pediatric Primary Care, Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation
Following his residency, Dr. David Maze purchased a private practice with an emphasis on Pediatrics and Vision Therapy. In 2008 he began teaching 4th year interns from Illinois College of Optometry as an adjunct clinical faculty member of Illinois College of Optometry In 2019 Dr. Maze opened a second private practice, specifically a vision therapy only center. In 2022 Dr. Maze and his family decided to relocate to Tennessee from Illinois.
Dr. David Maze is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
Dr. Maze currently supervises students in a clinical setting at The Eye Center at SCO. His areas of professional interest include: pediatric eye care, vision therapy, and neuro-optometric diseases.
Dr. Maze enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, and is an avid runner and occasional triathlete. He also enjoys rooting for his hometown baseball team the Chicago Whitesox.
